Customer Journey Map: Lead your clients to buy
How do you feel when someone inside the store is tailing you around and pushing for a sale even though you are just window shopping? IT IS IRRITATING RIGHT?
But, if you are ready to buy and someone comes up to you and gives you information about the product or probably the difference with other options, it’s a heaven sent!
The big difference here, as mentioned, is your readiness to buy!
QUESTION NOW IS, DO YOU WANT TO BE THE IRRITATING AND PUSHY SALES PERSON OR DO YOU WANT TO BE THE HELPFUL AND HEAVEN SENT ASSISTANT?
oh and btw, the person who seen-zoned you? They are probably leads that you tried to push for sales TOO EARLY!
The key here is knowing what is the current mindset of your audience. Are they warm enough to be sold too or are they still a "cold lead" and needs some more nurturing and warming up?
You can understand all of this by drawing your customer journey map. In an easier to understand words, customer journey map is your framework to follow on how to deal with your customer from the first touch up to the point of sale and retention.
Customer journey map kinda looks like this. There are a lot of variety there is but this is one simple map that you can learn as easy as this week!
Now, before I continue, let me reiterate here that if you do not strategize properly, you might be pushing for sales when your client is not ready to buy. You will end up being pushy. You’d end up irritating your potential client.
